Course Details

Rochester Personal Defense is offering two packages for this 18-hour concealed carry course:

Our services always include the following:

A free session to review your completed NY State Pistol License application before submitting it to the county clerk, a professionally printed book, use of a handgun, ammo, and all range access fees.

VIP Package: ($50)

In the VIP package, you can get:

  1. Help in filling out your application
  2. Final review of your application before submission
  3. Help with any queries about your background
  4. Connecting with one of our fully vetted legal team members (if needed)
  5. Help in setting up your application and fingerprinting appointments

Points to consider

1-    As of March 20, 2024: Our course completion certificate will be accepted in the following counties: ALL 5 NYC Boroughs (Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens, and Staten Island) Broome, Cayuga, Chenango, Cortland, Dutchess, Erie, Genesee, Jefferson, Livingston, Madison, Monroe, Niagara, Onondaga, Ontario, Orange, Orleans, Oswego, Putnam, Schuyler, Seneca, Steuben, Sullivan, Tioga, Tompkins, Ulster, Wayne, Westchester, Wyoming, and Yates county.

2-      If you are a current license or permit holder and you DO NOT live in NYC, Westchester, Suffolk, or Nassau counties, you do not have to complete this training course.

3-      If you DO live in NYC, Westchester, Suffolk, or Nassau counties, you must complete this training within 1 year from your current recertification date.

New York concealed carry class topics

Important Information

In order to Pass this Course:

Each participant has to complete a written exam with a minimum score of 80%.

Each participant has to pass the NYS live fire qualification at 80%.

Those who successfully pass the exam and qualifications will be issued a certificate of completion and any county-specific letters to include in their application packet.
